Commercial Lines
A packaged approach that combines property and liability for many small and midsize businesses.
A BOP is a bundle. Instead of buying general liability and commercial property as two separate policies, many small businesses buy them together in one package — often with business-income coverage available.
The BOP exists because a lot of offices, shops, and service firms need the same two things: protect the stuff, and protect the business if someone gets hurt. Packaging them can be simpler and more cost-effective than a custom policy. It is not the right box for every company. Heavy manufacturing, large contractors, and unusual operations often need a separate commercial package. We use the BOP when the business fits, and we step up to a custom program when it does not.
Who this is for
What it typically covers
A simple example
A design studio has rented space, computers, and clients walking in. A BOP can cover the contents and the slip-and-fall exposure in one policy, which is usually cleaner than buying each piece alone.
Good to know
Coverage, eligibility, and terms vary by location and underwriting.
