Unsecured Term Loans

Term financing options for qualified businesses.

Who this is for

Established businesses with clean banking history · Owners who need a defined amount, not a revolving line · Companies funding growth or a buyout without pledging real estate · Borrowers who qualify on performance rather than on collateral

An unsecured term loan is a lump sum you receive now and pay back on a schedule. You are not pledging a specific building or machine — the decision is based mainly on how the business performs.

How it works

These loans are for qualified companies with a track record: revenue, time in business, and bank activity that support repayment. Because there is no single hard asset standing behind the note, the credit box is tighter and the term is often shorter than a mortgage. Uses can include expansion, working needs, partner buyouts, or consolidating higher-cost debt. We are straightforward about whether the file is a fit. If the better answer is a secured or SBA structure, we say so.

Who this is for

  • Established businesses with clean banking history
  • Owners who need a defined amount, not a revolving line
  • Companies funding growth or a buyout without pledging real estate
  • Borrowers who qualify on performance rather than on collateral

What it typically covers

  • A single advance with scheduled payments
  • Growth, working needs, or selected buyouts
  • A structure based on business performance
  • A known payoff date

A simple example

Two partners want to buy out a third. The company has strong deposits and several years of returns, but does not want to mortgage the building. An unsecured term loan, if the credit supports it, can fund that buyout.

Good to know

  • “Unsecured” does not mean “no underwriting.” Personal guarantees are still common.
  • If the amount is large or the story is thin, a secured or SBA path is often healthier.

Coverage, eligibility, and terms vary by location and underwriting.
